At Community, Character Education is more than learning about the six pillars - trustworthiness, responsibility, citizenship, respect, fairness, and caring. It's about applying those pillars to real life. How are we to treat other? How should we act on the job? What does it mean to be a part of a community?
To answer these questions, Community High staff encourages students to be the following:
- Responsible - for their words and actions
- Respectful - to themselves and others
- Community - understand that they are part of Community High School and the city in which they live
The staff believes that when students live out the three words above, they exhibit character education in action.
